User Guide is not beginner friendly #6

Actual - The first point of the user guide requires the user to ensure that the java version is correct with no guidance on how to do this. Many users may not know how to check the java version.

Expected - Add information and visuals to demonstrate users on how to check the java version.

Team's Response

Our target audience has been streamlined to university students looking for internships in the tech industry. It is expected that the users already have some kind of background knowledge and is able to handle this kind of tasks. Hence, the quick start is not catered to help new beginners set up.

Reason for disagreement: While the target audience is university students in tech, not all of them may have prior experience in setting up Java or checking its version. Assuming a uniform level of expertise can create barriers for less experienced users, potentially alienating a portion of the audience. Adding simple instructions or visuals to guide users on checking the Java version would enhance accessibility without significantly increasing complexity. A well-designed user guide should empower all users, regardless of their technical background, to set up and use the product efficiently.
