Hi @STAT540-UBC/team-methylhomies

Looks like a good proposal! During the poster presentation you'll definitely get many questions on how the cell type correction works. When I have the time I'll read up on that as well. Regardlesss of what your tasks are, make sure to keep everyone else in the loop of what you are doing. :)

From your task assignment, it seems like you're relying a lot on Hilary to get all the preprocessing done in the beginning while everyone else have to wait on it before their tasks can start. It'd be ideal to kind of make sure people are involved in every stage, at least do some preparation for the next steps of analysis or do literature research. It'd be good to have a second pair of eyes on the preprocessing step to make sure everything makes sense, since your entire analysis hinges on it. Therefore, documenting your step in a R/markdown is very important. Also, keeping GitHub organized would be everyone's job.

I'm not sure super how you plan to visualize methylation with boxplots... (I still need to learn more about methylation).

That's about it. I will do some readings about methylation. We don't have a lecture on this but there are plenty of resource on the bioconductor conference/courses website that I posted in the discussion.

Cute team name :)

Actually, I think the guest lecture is on methylation.

@santina yes, the guest lecture next week is by a postdoc in myself and Hilary's lab! And I will help with the preprocessing. Thanks for your feedback :)
