What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. selecting an interface
2. enable monitor mode before scanning
3. doesn't scan

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
does not provide a wifi card.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
fern wifi crack 1.6, backtrack r3, vmware, on macbook pro

Please provide any additional information below.
I'm trying to use this program but it doesn't even scan for networks, is this 
an issue where I have to purchase a separate 802.11 wifi adapter?

Please try manually:

airodump-ng mon0
