I've tried to reach them by the app, sent them the invoice, but my seller was not an offical Xiaomi partner, so they refused my request.
Ehh, that's sad. How are you supposed to know who is an "official" Xiaomi partner and who's not?

One doesn't know, so didn't I, but I had a suspicion Aliexpress wasn't one :)
Aliexpress is just a trading platform…. the individual sellers have to be official partners…
Xiaomi has an official storefront on Aliexpress.
I mean how do they expect us to know who’s official and who’s not? :)
I would argue with them until they find it easier to do it than keep arguing…

I would also join the debate. I was delivered by Aliexpres. I do not know what kind of distributor. If it does not work, we can not do the best for us, but we do not hurt the Xiaomi products at all.
I have noticed that you can see the stream through the latest version of Mi Home app for 34 mac cameras by clicking on the picture of the camera (not the text) from the main Mi Home app home page which gives the video preview modal which shows the stream.
Not sure why this is. Perhaps it is a clue to getting it to fully work.

@Feras96 really? I sent them an email a long time ago but they didn’t unlock mine... how did you procede?
@niccolospa I was surprised when they unlocked it, just sent a photo of the mac and a screenshot of my receipt (not even an official seller) and they took a month to reply.

@niccolospa The one which comes up when you click complain in the app when it tells you the product can only be used in China.
When I had the mainland china error they showed me the message from the pictures above. (By ltroc) I've sent them an email providing mac addresses (written and picture of the bottom of the cams) and a picture of the aliexpress purchases (20€ each) including order number. It took 1 1/2 months for their first and final reply, and now all 3x Cams do work in germany.

Sziasztok! Valaki mesélje már el, hogyan lehet hangot is rögzíteni ezzel a kamerával. A képpel nincsen semmi gondom, de sajnos a kép mellé járó hang rögzítés lehetőségére még nem jöttem rá. Pedig rendelkezik mind mikrofonal mind pedig hangszóróval. Köszi nektek.
Ha videót rögzítesz, annak hangjának is kellene lennie... ha nincs, valami más a probléma vélhetően.

Kösszencs, de közben rájöttem, hogy alul van a mikrofonja, és ha a talpa rá van nyomva a kamerára akkor sajna semmi hangot nem vesz fel. Így hogy hagytam a talp és a kamere között hézagot már rendesen működik. Vagy is a belső sd. kártyára lehet nem vesz fel, azt még nem néztem, de a távoli rögzítéskor igen.

Can confirm @simoneluconi advice worked ..sent them an email and now camera is working with the latest app version. Still didn't update the camera firmware to latest. Any info on the difference on camera firmwares?

I almost forgot my camera, for last year I couldn't make it alive, but since I saw You made such efforts, today I tried it again. I connected again, refreshed the app on my phone and the camera software too...and TADAAAA!! it works! :) Happy day! :)

Still China Mainland, but everything works...looks perfect... :)
Thanks… That’s my problem… date/time and weather display in the app works incorrectly since the timezone can’t be set correctly. Whatever is set in the camera settings, the time displayed in the recordings is wrong as it is for China…
If someone has a fix for that, I wouldn’t mind leaving it on China :D

Hello, I just refreshed the latest versions today, I'm still on China-Mainland server, set myself at the config to Hungary (GMT+1) - and now my timestamp on the screen/video is correct. (You were right, two days ago it was 7 hours plus to GMT) Take a try! :)

Hello, please take a try to get the camera closer to the router (closer means 50 cm) while installing,/configuring at the first time. Do not forget - select China Mainland server!

The camera is 2 meter away from the router, before it always worked. And i have selected China Mainland Server.
Ok, there are 3 different colors/signs by the led at the back of the camera:
Maybe You should try to remove/delete Your camera from the application, and try to add it again as new.
Already done, its what i am trying to do. Before the problem i was doing some tests. I have switched to the eu server and it didn't work, then back to the cina and it worked, switched again to eu and didn't work, back to china and didn't work anymore.
I tried it too, but at the end I ended up on : delete camera from the application, go toChineseMainland and add the camera again as a new one

I csn’t get it working. Where have you set this GMT+1 thing? I can’t set the location of my home correctly. The cameras can be set but the home location only lists chinese things. If I tap on get location, it puts the dot in the middle of the ocean and I can’t moce it anywhere...

Andreaux! I'm not sure, but try this: go to the camera You see the camera working top right "..." menu general settings Timezone choose Your timezone
It's what i am doing. I don't have the camera in the app, i am connected to the china mainland server, but when i scan the qr code, the camera doesen't connect.
Do not give up... :) As I remember I had to repeat it about 10 times, while it connected once. and again, take it close to the router while setting - I put it on the top of the router :)
Nothing hahahah i'm trying from 3 days. Now i also put it 20cm from the router, it doesen't connect :\
And one more, but I'm not sure: I think I disconnected the camera from power, and maybe? a pushed the reset button for a long time(30 sec) to reset, I'm not sure sorry, I tried like crazy...:)
Ok, but did you set the eu location in the camera’s settings or the home? Or both?

Andreaux! On the main screen profile (bottom/right) /settings /region is still Mainland China, but at the camera settings general settings/timezone I set amsterdam (GMT+1) I do not use any other xiaomi items, so it is enough for me to see the right timestamp on the video...

Actually I’ve messed around a bit. Whatever I set the locations to, it’s always 6 hours in advance... it’s now sept 1, 1:38 on the cameras...

Andreaux! I see what You mean: since I do not see any locations, but Chineses - there's no selected location in my settings.
Dear users, I bought a Xiaofang camera without paying attention to the country. Now, my camera can only operate from China IP when connected. Since I want use the camera from Europe, this is banned! How can I update firmware unlocking region ban?
