New firmware: 3.2.0.30

Hi all, both my cameras were update to newest firmware 3.2.0.30 and both now fail to see the SD card. I have tried formatting, new cards, different sizes, to no avail. As if the firmware disabled the SD slot. It also reset the time zone. As such I am back to stock and most annoyingly without the ability to record anything on the sd cards.

Anyone else affected?

It is surprising that Mi has thought it fit to make the whole world dance. Its a shear nonsense that it is sitting quiete after creating trouble for customers who had purchased Mi fang camera. Why they are not releasing another update to resolve the issues. There are problem galore for this camera. Language, Location, firmware etc. Unless quick fix is made available to the customers, customers should refrain from buying Mi products. Nobody wants to buy trouble. The firmware problem is going on for a long time yet they are sitting duck. Customer loosing both time and money. Feel pity for the commentatos who are spending valuable time doing research for fixing the problem that is created by Mi and they have to fix it. Ironically the company is selling products not even supplying a manual in english translation. for mi band there are more trouble stories. I think it is better to boycot their products.

@bharatiya456 it's like DVD region locking, the MI isn't meant for outside china. They want to license and outsource support to other countries for a premium.

The reason why people bother is that the price is phenomenal for a mini 1080p wifi surveillance camera. It's a unique product for 25€.

But then how sellers are allowed to sell this junk products hiding this grave shortcoming.? A camera without recording capability can never be a security/suveilance camera. This toy is sold without recording facility as security camera! This is out right cheating. Respective governments should penalise the sellers doing restrictive business in clandenstine way.

We respect your passion on the subject but not really the place here. Also your use case does not have to match the manufacturer's use case. but either way you should contact the seller if you have an issue with the way they are doing business.
