Thumbnail editor is blank #371

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Upload an image into a gallery like usual
2. Click on the image in a gallery, then click "edit thumbnail"
3. You supposed to be able to edit the thumbnail but now the left side is blank.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
You should be able to edit/crop the thumbnail image but the left side is blank.
The thumbnail is still being generated but there's no preview in the "thumbnail
editor" so you can't crop.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I tried 1.7.4 nextgen; WP 3.1.3

Please provide any additional information below.

I could see it before. I am not sure if its because I have 88 galleries. I have
used your plugin health check but no error is found.

I have tried, all failed:

- cleared cache
- reset nextgen gallery
- un-commented the memory limit line in the gd.thumbnail.inc.php file then
reupload images
- tried to use imagemagick insetad of GD library
- re-upload all the nextgen gallery files in the plugin folder
- change chmod of the gallery folder to be 775
- disabled and enabled nextgen
- looked at the other suggestions about remove extra 'returns' in the code but
found none in nggshow.php
- disable other plugins

Please help. Thanks!

I also have been plagued by this issue (NGG 1.7.4, WP 3.1.3.)

Tried literally the list posted by the OP, without results. Ordinarily this
would not be a major issue for me, but since I use the plugin to show concept
art, and there's an overlay on the picture on the actual gallery, I tend to
have pictures where the most interesting parts are occasionally lost.

Attached is a quick screengrab of the issue. The properties window is of the
not-showing image used for cropping on the left. It looks as though NGG doesnt
generate a valid link to it, but for the life of me, I can't figure out why.

Hopefully this helps. Thanks in advance, and thanks for a great gallery plugin.

Still the same issue for me I've tried upgrading and other solutions posted on
the net including removing black space, resaving as UTF-8.
