AJAX pagination not working in galleries with multiple pages

For galleries with multiple pages, AJAX pagination is not working.  The option 
is enabled and the "shutter" effect is used.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. [nggallery id=xxx]
2. Enable AJAX Pagination
3. Set "Shutter" Effect

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

NextGen Version: 1.8.2
WordPress Version: 3.2
OS: Linux

Please provide any additional information below.

Using debug print statements in nggallery.php I verified the options are set 
and the PHP code calls js/ngg.js.

Need to reopen this, AJAX pagination in combincation with imagebrowser still 
causes some problems

Please reopen this bug. I am having the same problem with Ajax pagination and 
imagebrowser with the shutter effect. It does work under Google Chrome but does 
not under Internet Explorer 9 and Firefox 9.

I also have this problem. I checked my ngg.js file, and it contains the r967 
fix.
When I click on next page, or any page number, the loading icon just spin 
without anything happening.
I'm running WP 3.4 and NGG 1.9.0
