Grayscale effect for thumbnails

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a gallery
2. Create a page with thumbnails of the gallery

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
- All thumbnails should be grayscaled, but are colored.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
- Latest

It would be great to have an option so that all thumbnails are grayscaled.

Don't know if this could work:
