bcftools merge raises segmentation fault

while trying to merge two vcfs with bcftools 1.18 bcftools 1.16 works fine

Unfortunately, the issue as stated is not helpful at all, we need a small test case to reproduce the problem.

Well, I'm not sure what kind of information could be helpful I'm using Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS

On the screen you could see two merge commands for 1.16 and 1.18

We need a small test case, i.e. the exact command that was used and the actual files to reproduce the problem.
