Notion looks weird #36

Closed FelipeFMA closed 2 months ago

I don't know how I can get more info for you but I installed ttf-apple-emoji from the AUR and this happens with notion, I haven't notice it anywhere else.

Here is how it looks normally: normal

This is how it looks with the font installed: apple emoji

Hi @FelipeFMA. Thank you for reporting this, apparently there are some issues with the fontconfig. I will take a look and come up with a fix. Meanwhile, if you don't want to wait, you can install the font manually.

We can leave this issue open and I will get back to you once I update the AUR package, so we can test it.

@FelipeFMA I updated the AUR package. Can you give it a try and let me know if the issue is fixed?

for me

I installed the windows fonts and everything went back to normal for me

Thanks for the comment @yasscaleb. Unfortunately, it seems that it might be needed to reinstall some fonts so their configuration gets applied correctly again. I apologize for this.

@Upland-Er In the case of Reddit, the fonts involved are: Segoe UI, Roboto, Helvetica Neue and Arial. Reinstalling them should solve the issue (check first which ones from those are actually installed on your system).

I tried it again today and now it's fixed
