We had a problem with a game and couldn't find any way to end it. We had to drop the hangout in the end. Tying it to the game starter makes sense. It could be a little button on top of the leaderboard.
My idea would be a majority vote to succeed for a reset but even that could be annoying if someone wanted to be "troll"-y. The game started is not a bad idea but if he/she drops out of the Hangout than you could still be stuck.
How about having a user list, from first-in-the-door to last?
I like the vote idea, if the interface isn't annoying. The way I think about it, you could have a person click the button, the button becomes depressed and red, and a counter appears next to everyone else's "Reset Game" buttons [ 1 / $NumOfPeopleInHangout
]. This counter requires at least 51% of the room in agreement to reset the game. This way, no one is bothered by a dropdown bar, popup, or any other strange happening, other than the counter increasing.
What do you guys thing about this reset UI?
Shift right-click is pretty hard to find.
Should this feature be tied to the starter of the game? We don't want needless resets...
