[BUG] After pausing playback for a section, playback begins when moving to prev/next items in iPhone Safari

Describe the bug While a section is playing, user closes the native player. This pauses playback and returns user to the playlist page/media object page with the media player paused. User clicks next/prev canvas, and the selected playlist item/section automatically resume playback (opening native player). This also happens when another playlist item/section is selected from the structure.

Assume that auto-play is turned on for the playlist (always on for the media item page).

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to https://avalon-dev.dlib.indiana.edu/playlists/96
2. Click play on the first playlist item. Native player opens.
3. Close native player. Playback paused on web page.
4. Click next in the media player.
5. The second playlist item automatically begins playing and native player opens
6. Close native player. Playback paused on second playlist item.
7. Click the first playlist item in the list.
8. The first playlist item automatically begins playing and native player opens

Expected behavior In other browsers, playback of playlist items/sections does not resume after manually being paused until the user manually hits play.
