I can cover installation steps for clean debian server installation:
apt install -y sudo nodejs git openssh-server node-mqtt node-ws
adduser testuser sudo
git clone https://github.com/sanchosk/helios2mqtt.git
. This will clone this repository to your local machinecd helios2mqtt
index.js
file - modify the helios URL to your own (you can use dns name or IP address, modify your MQTT user for home assistant, MQTT username and MQTT password, save the file and exit editornode index.js
That should be it.
If you want to make it run after reboot, you can try this:crontab -e
@reboot node ~/helios2mqtt/index.js
That's it, now if you reboot the machine, it will auto-start nodejs with the tool.Let me know if this helped. The same should work also on Ubuntu server or Ubuntu desktop, btw.
Works fine also with my KWL 360 W (and Windows 10). :smiley:
Thanks! That worked great. Tested with V3 - 1.0.21
Now, how can we extend this code to control the Helios V3 ? Allowing the following would be enough I guess:
I am very interested in your Helios integration but unfortunately I really struggle how to set it up... can you share some information for a newbie like me?
