I'm aware of the issue and looking into it, its however not easy to debug as its caused by a 3rd party update and very unpredictable as the disconnect seams to have random timing.
Are we able to get an update on this? Got a few hundred people who are still holding on hopes for a fix.
Describe what you noticed and did
Myself and multiple other individuals used sandboxie to multibox a steam game named the isle. Lately we are unable to do this, seemingly due to a steam update.
Opening a new sandbox and running any program as administrator, I open the steam client with a standard default setting sandbox.
I log into my steam account, and open the game 'The Isle'. The game boots normally.
I enter an online multiplayer server and load in fine.
The server then disconnects without warning anytime between 2 seconds to 30 minutes with an average time of 5 minutes. No error messages are given.
If I then try to re-join the server it kicks me right back out immediatly.
How often did you encounter it so far?
Every time with this particular game/application.
Affected program
The Isle 'legacy' version via steam
Download link
Through the steam client.
Where is the program located?
The program is installed only outside the sandbox.
Expected behavior
Allows the use of multiple online games on different steam accounts being opened simultaniously, as happened up until a recent steam patch.
What is your Windows edition and version?
Windows 11 home, but this is the same on 10/11 on any version. This effects around 50 individuals.
In which Windows account you have this problem?
A local account (Administrator).
Please mention any installed security software
None
What version of Sandboxie are you running?
I have tried this on every version in the archive up until the latest patch.
Is it a new installation of Sandboxie?
I recently did a new clean installation.
Is it a regression?
No response
In which sandbox type you have this problem?
In a standard isolation sandbox (yellow sandbox icon).
Can you reproduce this problem on a new empty sandbox?
I can confirm it also on a new empty sandbox.
Did you previously enable some security policy settings outside Sandboxie?
