ERCOT Download Not Working #53

Hi SNL Quest Team,

When attempting to download ERCOT data, I simply receive the message "Failed to establish a connection to the host server" for all years. Seems like the API endpoint or login credentials have changed.

Thanks for letting us know. We are aware of the issue with the data downloader for ERCOT. This error occurs since ERCOT recently changed their data release policy. Specifically, they only provides 1 month worth of historical data through their public data portal. Larger batches of historical data only available to market participants. We are trying to store the data ourselves but unfortunately we are not allowed to distribute the data. If you happen to have the data of 2021 and before, you can just copy them into the data folder. Otherwise, we can help you run the analysis in ERCOT with the data we have. Please let us know. Thanks/Tu Nguyen
