change font size for numbered square #9

This change increases the font size slightly on the square and makes it very dark, which vastly improves readability in lower-light situations.

It occurs to me, looking at the screen shot, that the font weight may not actually be contributing to the improvement at all, and simply making the font size be 20 might alone be enough.

I repaired the sleep issue, but I'm going to close this PR and open a new one with just the changed files as I wound up accidentally committing some of the build ephemera along with this branch.
