kilo is, as you know, an SI metric prefix, and should be written as lower case k, and not capital K when used as a symbol in 1000 bp, like kbp.
I was not able to find where in the code it is used as Kbp, but I'd appreciate if it was corrected. I keep seeing papers getting this wrong, but I don't understand the source, so I try to address it where I can.
