- Yes we use gatekeeper to register stock sc384 UDI tags to create daughter tag plate barcodes. 1 stock makes 4 daughters. we require 2 daughters per 1 x384 plate. Our current target is to release 36K samples per week, this equates to 94 x 384 plates... therefore 188 x daughter tag plate barcodes per week
- We haven't pressed the issue as we currently make theses daughter tag plates in Ogilvie where we can use the old printers. However once this Hamilton arrives, after validation/ program installation - we will need to have these barcodes at hand. If it is not this will mean defrosting the stock to print the daughter barcodes then bringing across the barcodes and stock plates on dry ice. We would like to limit the amount of freeze / thaw cycles the plates undergo as this affects the quality. And as you can imagine doing this will also take more time.
- I understand that this is not urgent but it will impact our productivity and potentially our data quality
