I just found out about android GUITAR which uses the GUITAR GUI test framework. 
The android version makes use of MonkeyRunner...

Thus it occurs that it could be used to automate Robotium tests..

If I do get to completing a demo/tutorial before you guys will contribute it to 
the project..as I expect once hired for a startup in Chicago late July early 
August to use that framework for that purpose..
