I downloaded this looked at the computer code tried the readme section but nothing helped no directions as to what to do with this. How do we install this?

Go to the releases page and download the latest .dmg file and install the app from it as usual. Then ensure the extension is enabled in Safari and you should see a Premium logo instead of the YouTube logo.

This extension is meant to work alongside Wipr, SponsorBlock and Return YouTube Dislike for a full YouTube Premium experience.

i went to the releases page downloaded the latest .dmg file and i got a whole list of different files but i see YouTube premium app i click on it and confronted with another big list of options sorry but this file makes no sense! do i try to download the script .js? or plug in? code resources?? all you write is "install the app from it as usual." Unless i was a computer programmer have no idea what your asking. I'm sure very few regular people will understand this. Do you have an install video or something? I already installed successfully the YouTube ad blocker very easy to install you just go to top of page click install and it's done! This file i have already downloaded twice i keep clicking on files to download but get nothing. Sorry i don't think this is file you wrote is working. If you don't have directions please let me know so far all this file has been for me is a total waste of time. I really want this to work so i can recommend this to others so your hard work is not wasted! I find it terrible when people work hard on something and for some reason it ends up never being used or appreciated. OK i hope to hear from you! Thank you for your time reading this!

First of all, sorry that you're having issues with getting this to work. This was my own personal project and I never thought anyone would try to use this instead and that's why this repository isn't that well documented.

Coming to your concern, I don't think you downloaded the .dmg file and from your comment, it seems you have downloaded the source code zip file instead. I'll share the link of the .dmg file since you're finding it difficult to find it, so just click here and this will download the required file. After downloading is complete, you're supposed to double click on the downloaded file and a window will open up. You'll need to drag the YouTube Premium app that you see in the window into the Applications folder of your mac.

After that open the app from the Applications Folder. When running for the first time, you might get a prompt saying that macOS can't run apps from an unidentified developer. Press and hold control and click on the app icon. While still holding Control , select Open. Then just enable the YouTube Premium extension from Safari's Settings.

Unfortunately, I'm not home and I don't have my MacBook along with me, so I can't record an installation video to share.

I think i know the problem! I'm using a PC not a MAC! Thank you so much for such a fast reply! All I wanted t to do was watch a show on YouTube premium because it's not shown anywhere else other then YouTube Premium. I hate that they do this. and unless your rich i don't know how anyone can afford to pay so much for such a small service with economies dropping around the world. Anyway if you can think of anything of a way a regular pc user can watch YouTube premium for free i would be very grateful. Thankk you! Take care!! I should have been more specific that this is for macOS. The Readme does say that the extension is for Safari (which is macOS's default browser). I guess I'll update it.

As for your issue, there are ways to get certain feature of YouTube Premium like no-ads by just installing an adblocker like uBlock Origin, but if you're up for shows that's only exclusive to Premium. On mobile devices, you can use ReVanced Manager to patch the YouTube app to unlock features that are exclusive to YouTube Premium. However, for shows that are only exclusive to Premium members, I don't think you have a way outta there without actually subscribing.

I'm looking at this it's another GitHub file it helps patch android applications such as YouTube. I'm downloading it. LOL! It says most people who never downloaded from open-source sites like GitHub will struggle with the install process!
