Ideas for improvements to CDSL dictionary digitizations

My thoughts:

Have not mentioned what @gasyoun might take the lead on in CDSL improvement?

What are your thoughts?

gasyoun commented 1 year ago

@drdhaval2785 interested enough in LRV? @funderburkjim let us have the call on 26th of Feb.? I'm interested in what you've done with Samasas and Hitopadesha Syntax.

drdhaval2785 commented 1 year ago

I am OK with pursuing LRV.

funderburkjim commented 1 year ago

@gasyoun I will look on skype at about Noon (Eastern Standard Time) on Sunday 26th of February.

Andhrabharati commented 1 year ago

If the session is recorded and posted somewhere, I would be able to watch it leisurely sometime later-- to see if any (interesting and useful) points relevant to me are present. [I had already indicated earlier to @gasyoun, that I won't be participating in these meets.]

@gasyoun Looking for you on skype

@drdhaval2785 we had a 2.5 hours preliminary discussion with @funderburkjim, @AnnaRybakovaT and @Andhrabharati yesterday. When are you ready to meet on 12 of March? NY noon Sunday is late for Moscow and far too late for Delhi. We can try Saturday late 1 am NY Sunday morning, which will be like 10 am Moscow morning and around 13 in Delhi @Andhrabharati ?

funderburkjim commented 1 year ago

Sources for this table: MSK and IST

EST (New York) MSK (Moscow) IST (Delhi)
11PM 7AM 9:30AM
12AM 8AM 10:30AM
1AM 9AM * 11:30AM

1AM Sunday EST NY is ok with me.
Even better would be 11PM EST (Saturday) or 12AM (Sunday).

funderburkjim commented 1 year ago

Note: Mar 12 in US is beginning of 'daylight savings time', At 2AM March 12, the clocks are reset to 3AM ! Should not affect table above.

gasyoun commented 1 year ago

I'm for 11PM EST. @drdhaval2785 is 9:30AM ok for you?

drdhaval2785 commented 1 year ago

9:30 am IST is fine for me.

gasyoun commented 1 year ago

@Andhrabharati can you go for 9:30 am IST?

Andhrabharati commented 1 year ago

In general, any time is alright for me; but as of now (in my present "position"), I am not sure if I could commit for anything.

funderburkjim commented 1 year ago

Hitopadesha Syntax.

@gasyoun hitopadesha_iast_p.txt renders the Sanskrit text in iast.

@funderburkjim guess in 2024 not still far away?
