Adding abbreviations #432

Open funderburkjim opened 5 years ago

Caujolle pointed out instances of three abbreviations in BUR that were not marked as abbreviations in the digitization. These abbreviations actually occur several times:

abbrev expansion # times
Ep. épithète 16
ordint. ordinairement 14
S. substantif 2576

To implement these changes takes 2 steps:

@drdhaval2785 knows how to?

Dhaval now knows how to. But as Jim has already let his pythons loose, I am holding my pythons in cage, so as to minimize collateral damage.

Dhaval now knows how to.

For Burnouf, the abbreviations are an extra (in addition to digitization) resource needed by displays. The docuwiki will need to identify such extra resources for all the dictionaries.

BTW, my pythons have been de-fanged, so they are free to roam. Very friendly when you get to know them.

Another remark from Caujolle regarding BUR Related to this thread.

I noted another abbreviation which is not documented in the list, it is "euph."
it means "pour l'euphonie"

note also that when i looked for "euph." one word only appeared in the list
whereas when i looked for "euph" 19 words appeared in the list
so the first one do have something wrong in its data i guess compared to the other one (as it appeared with a blank after euph)

Anyway it would be more naturel to find euph. when asking for "euph." and not only for "euph".

same remark for Vd. for example where on find when looking for vd and vd. respectively 1091 and 321 occurences .
