Since specifying model and stem for the 'm' and 'f' parts of lexnorm terms is completely identical to that in #15 and #14, no further discussion here is needed.
We only need consider the various feminine forms.
This lexnorm form occurs in 5 entries of lexnorm-all2. The headwords are anuru, kawu (twice), cAru, and tanu.
As described above, the current stem-model derivation treats this 'us' annotation as simply a variant of the more usual 'f' or 'f#u'. This might be considered as a presentation of the nominative singular ending, which is consistent with the declensional example of Denu in MW's grammar. i.e., he shows 'Denus' for nom. singular. The headwords are mentioned here so their handling will be reconsidered when irregular forms are later considered in this endeavor.
This is similarly considered a variant notation in MW for 'f#U'. The headwords where 'Us' appears are: asitajYu, kamaRqalu, kaSeru, guggulu, guNgu, jatu and tanu. These also will be revisited when irregular forms are considered.
The only u-ending nominal in lexnorm-all2 that remains unaccounted for is 'amu', which is associated with the pronoun 'adas'; this will be handled with the pronouns.
This deals with the rest of the nominals ending in 'u', and continues #19.
There are 70 such records in lexnorm-all2 ending in 'u' and not yet accounted for.
As with #21, the primary task here is to identify stem and model for non-default feminine forms.
Since the number (70) is small, all the model-stem interpretations are written to a file, model_mfn_u1.
