The verbs01a folder deals with verbs (and prefixed verbs) of PWG dictionary, and develops correspondences with these to verbs in MW dictionary.

This is a revision of PWG/verbs01.

The results are in two reports:

• pwg_verb_filter_map shows entries of PWG identified as verbs (currently count is 2638) and the corresponding spellings of the verbs in MW dictionary.
• pwg_preverb1.txt which further shows the upasargas of PWG and the corresponding entries in MW.
  • 1160 of the PWG verbs have upasargas, and
  • There are 8356 upasargas in all;
    • 6906 of these have an identified MW (prefixed) verb entry
    • 1459 of these have no identified MW verb entry
