As said in https://github.com/sanskrit-lexicon/MWS/issues/83#issuecomment-751847873 There is one more issue. PWK is not dead. There is an addition (still alive and continued) that is growing and I would love to find a way to interact with them - because it is baset on Cologne: https://nws.uzi.uni-halle.de/search?lang=en Nachtragswörterbuch des Sanskrit (Dr. Katrin Einicke, Prof. Slaje, Prof. Hanneder) I wonder if they have written a letter to reuse the PWK data at anytime @funderburkjim ? It looks promising and Dr. Katrin Einicke still adds entries.

There were some corrections submitted and made from Marburg back in Nov 2020: https://github.com/sanskrit-lexicon/csl-corrections/issues/18

In July 2020, I had several email exchanges with Prof. Slage (recommended by Thomas) regarding Halle's corrections. Unfortunately, the email exchange did not result in any data exchange.

The last email from WS (of 7/28/2020) stated:

there was now an answer from the Computer Science Institute in Halle, which I interpret to mean that unfortunately the plans we entertained cannot work: "I have now tried to align the two pw variants with each other. This has turned out to be very difficult. On the one hand, since the integration of the data from Cologne almost 4 years ago, there have been several structural changes to the data, as I could see in the github link from the last mail. On the other hand I had forgotten that I had made extensive structural changes during the original integration in order to make the presentation in our portal as consistent as possible with the NWS and to correct various errors and obvious deficiencies (no content, but formatting, inconsistent numbering, etc.). At the same time, this also created the database, which Mitsuyo apparently continues to work on to this day and corrects the content. Unfortunately, this database differs so much from the one in Cologne that an automatic comparison - contrary to my initial assumption - is not possible. As a result, the automatic difference analysis shows deviations in so many places that the actual content-related differences are lost and the whole thing is no longer a useful help."

I further requested to get a database dump of their pw, thinking that we might be able to make use of it. But no further response.

This is the same old story. Somebody makes changes to data, but does in such a way that it is not possible to upgrade upstream Cologne data programmatically.

Let me try. They added 171 new source, so major work was done based on Cologne. Dr. Katrin Einicke still adds new entries.

Exactly. And this is a major project, was.

What we need is a dump of their pwk file. If it is in some database format (e.g. mysql), then there will be a standard way to dump the db to a text file. There must be someone on their team that can do this. Then they can zip and place somewhere in dropbox or google drive and give us the link.

They don't have to try to coordinate their changes with our current form of pwk. That's for us to worry about.
