This is noted in https://github.com/sanskrit-lexicon/csl-orig/pull/456/commits/4aceb3a976bc6c7c8857036c2a1cab25d096c60f

Documented, non-fixed, right?

That same commit reference states: ; links to the scan pages 346-350, mentioned here, don't work.

The pages do seem to be there, at least in volume 1, such as https://www.sanskrit-lexicon.uni-koeln.de/scans/csl-apidev/servepdf.php?dict=pui&page=1-348

@AnnaRybakovaT could you give more details so we can track down the problem you mentioned with 346-350 ?

drdhaval2785 commented 3 years ago

@funderburkjim I know what she means.

When the entry runs to multiple pages, in Advanced search or basic search, only the first page link is clickable. When [Page1-348] occurs in the text, it is not clickable.

Therefore, she raised this concern.

@AnnaRybakovaT , Till we can fix this issue, you can do either of this.

  1. Use https://www.sanskrit-lexicon.uni-koeln.de/scans/csl-apidev/servepdf.php?dict=pui&page=1-348 directly. Change the dictionary code and page number which you may want to see.
  2. Click on the first page link. You will see two arrows for previous and next. You can click on them to reach to your page of interest.

Exactly - what I meant.

Dear Dhaval, Many thanks!!!

As well I have one question. In case when I see any mistakes in scan pages - should I put a note "Print change" instead of "Scan error"?

drdhaval2785 commented 3 years ago

When the PDF scan is correct, but the digitization is wrong - typo

When the PDF scan itself is wrong - print change

I see! Thanks!

When the entry runs to multiple pages ...

OK. I see that. An easy work around is to click on a preceding page link that IS clickable, then, in the URL of the scan, make alteration to the page in the browser address field. This works in desktop environment.

This is old-school way, Dhaval's method 1.

This could be somewhat improved by editing changes to pui.txt.

There are only about 600 footnote lines <F> in pui, so introducing spacing consistency by manual editing is feasible.
