I hold my finger on a blank spot on my screen to pull up the "Add to Home"
list. I select "Shortcut" from this list. For this "Add Shortcut" list, I
select "Foursquare Venues." It launches Foursquare, and has me search for a
venue. When I find the venue I wish to select - it only allows me to check-in
and do typical Foursquare things, it does NOT create a shortcut!
I want to have this function to where you can select the venue and select to
add it as a shortcut. That's how it is SUPPOSED to work!
I have had nothing but tons of problems with Foursquare since I was put from my
Palm Pre into the HTC Hero. Foursquare worked flawlessly on my Pre, but on my
Hero it is nothing but a nightmare and angering me to the point of deleting the
application and my profile as it does NOT work at all even just for logging
into venues that I have created (I always get the message saying no points or
badges because you're too far away, even though I have refreshed, I have
downloaded Google Maps app to help, I have selected just the GPS and disabled
the wifi settings, I have uninstalled and reinstalled this application, and
NOTHING WORKS!).
I'm pretty upset that Foursquare is an epic failure on the Hero, and if they
can't get their application to work properly (as I introduced my friend to it
when I used it all the time on my Pre, she has the HTC Avia and her Foursquare
NEVER works either!), then I'm just going to say dueces to Foursquare and go
with Footprints.
