I agree this can be implemented (btw there is some code in the repository of 
https://github.com/abduegal/mixare . Are you the same person?

The most important thing is that the changes to the JSON protocol should not 
break existing implementations, maybe a "version" field should be added to the 
JSON itself.

This same feature would be useful for external launchers to override the 
default markers.

This may require some refactoring of the data sources.

Hi abduegal,

I would like to know how can you get custom markers in Mixare. I have tried 
many times in many ways and the results are wrong, moreover, I have tried using 
plugins and unfortunatelly it did not worked I dont know how to use them.
