SAP IT SCP > Database Migration to MongoDB Altas #849

Asked for more information on the SCP services deprecation plan:

Simon Hofman: "I’m attending TechEd Las Vegas and will be on vacation directly after, until October 21. I cannot guarantee a response during TechEd." Shivanna: "I am OOO and I will be back on 14th October 2019."

It clearly states that the replacement service will have to be used from outside SCP.

Our migration plan will have to filled in: https://wiki.wdf.sap.corp/wiki/display/HCPCoreOrg/SAP+managed+backing+services+-+Stakeholder+repository where we can see that other MongoDB user migrate to MongoDB Atlas in AWS.

It seems that the migration table have already been filled. I've postponed the migration to MongoDB Atlas to 2020.

But we have already an instance of MongoDB in SAP IT SCP right? So you can close this issue.

MongoDB is still planned to be removed from SCP services. It will not be removed by force at a deadline date but:

Or change its name to Migration to MongoDB Altas to avoid creating a now one related to almost the same topic.

We'll get a quotation of 7500 euros to have a company account on Mongo DB Atlas. I'll send it to you for validation. If I have your green light and once the process to onboard a new provider will have been fulfilled at SAP side, we can migrate the DB to the cloud so we will never depend on SCP anymore. I'll let you know.

By the way, MongoDB instance of type M30 is not available in AWS Frankfurt, so I chose Paris ;-)

Laure is creating the provider in SAP system for 7500 credits that costs 7500 euros. She'll let us know when this will be done
