Please let me know how can HR approve the Leaves of the employee. I don't see any option after HR logged in.

sapplica commented 7 years ago

Hi,

Kindly update a value in the field 'Hr Manager' under 'Leave management options' for a particular department. Go to: HR › Leave Management › Leave Management Options. Click on 'Edit' and choose an HR manager. Then, apply a leave request as an employee and try approving using HR manager login credentials.

Thank you!

Hi,

Sentrifugo is designed in a way that every department should have one HR manager in order to avoid mass emails/action items for the common HR in the Organization regarding the leave requests raised by the employees.

Thank you!

CarBee commented 7 years ago

This fine. But there should be a provision to select one HR personnel in more than one department. At least we should load all the HR Managers in the drop down to be selected. In general HR belongs to HR department and not any other technical department. They are just assigned to one department and virtually they are part of HR department.

Dear team,

We have started using Sentrifugo 3.1.1. Its a great product, but we have some concerns around the leave management settings. In the Leave Management Options, when we try to create one we are always getting an error stating “Hr manager not added yet for the selected department.” We have tried various permutations. Please let us know how we can associate a Single HR manager to multiple departments. We have only 1 HR in our organisation and 1 email ID. Is there some work around for the same or we will not be able to use the Leave Management solution, which is one of main requirements.

Is there some step obvious that we are missing in the process. Reading the replies above, wondering if we can by pass this HR manager option. Maybe it can be made non-mandatory.

Hi,

We are looking into this scenario and will come up with a solution in our upcoming release. We appreciate your understanding with us. Thank you!

Hello,

Our company is looking for an HR system and I am the one assigned to present various options which will be decided by my heads based on the features available. So far, Sentrifugo caught my attention because of the design and ease of use. My only problem is the same as above, I cannot assign a single HR manager for all the departments. Our company is just small and we only have 1 HR staff which will handle all the departments and business units.

Is there a temporary workaround for this just to show my heads that all their requirements are met?

Thanks and Best Regards!

klukiyan commented 7 years ago

@manoyanx , you don't have to assign one HR manager per department. You just assign ONE HR manager in leave policies for all departments and business units. In that case that ONE HR manager will be able to see and approve on behalf of managers any vaction in the organization. The "department head" value, doesn't really mean anything. you can even leave it blank :)

sundayayandele commented 6 years ago

@Klukiyan, please provide guide as per what you explained. Also a screen shot if you can

sundayayandele commented 6 years ago

How do we assign one HR manager that will handle all other departments?

klukiyan commented 6 years ago

@sundayayandele

Home › HR › Leave Management › Leave Management Options › Edit

you set the leave management options for each department. the "HR Manager" that you assign there, will be the HR user who can approve/reject leaves for all (or selected) departments.

so i have got this right even though my company only has one HR manager, with one email dress, who deals with HR for both business units, i have to set her up two account one for each business unit? why can't one HR manager look after two business units?

@masonchris89 , you can have one HR responsible for both business units and all departments in all business units. You can't have 2 HRs responsible for same department.

How do i do this cos every time i try do Leave Management Options it says something like Hr manager not added yet for the selected department how to i assign one HR for multiple business units ?

klukiyan commented 5 years ago

@masonchris89 if you want your HR manager to be responsible for both business units, you need to make sure that he/she reports directly to ORG Head, otherwise it's logic that "external" HR manager cannot HR Manage the departments of business units that he has no relation at all

@klukiyan I have one HR manager in a business unit called" head office" in a department in that business unit she reports to the ORG Head but she still cant be select in leave management options for another business unit Hr Manager

andrewsdg412 commented 4 years ago

@klukiyan I have the same issue as above. I have set HR Manager as reporting to the ORG Head but still doesn't pull through to other business units. Is any solution in sight?

alcouture commented 3 years ago

@andrewsdg412, @masonchris89 , @sundayayandele : did you ever find a solution or work around to have one HR manager for all business units? The way that this structure is created is ridiculous. Most departments will not have their own dedicated HR manager.

sundayayandele commented 3 years ago

Hello,

Yes I did get that done by editing the relevant file.
