In all of our tests, this MSI works fine. I need more information:
a) enable debug installation in windows to create an installer log
b) what OS version is this running under
most likely something is corrupted, either the download itself (try
redownloading), or something related to MSI
installation on your system.

I encountered the same problem. The installation log attached.
OS: Windows Vista SP1 (Russian edition), x32, UAC is enabled.
Installer has version 4.00.6001.0 (at least msiexec reports so).

Am running Windows Xp Professional SP2.
When i go through the eventvwr am getting the follwoing error.
Product: Google Data API SDK -- Error 1335. The cabinet
file '_D5818F810969052F9F3A27BB79CE1A18' required for this installation is
corrupt
and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from
the
CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.
I also tried to install the SDK in another BOX running WINXP Prof SP2.
am getting the same error. Please suggest.

Can you please try downloading this again and let me know if that solved the
issue? I can not repro this on
the available test systems.
The only "interesting fact" is that in both cases the same cabinet file is
missing/corrupt, but, considering that
that cabinet is hosting the .chm file (which is 6.1MB of the 10MB, that
likelyhood to hit there is not too
suprising).
Looking through the logs, it just looks like a corrupted file/download.
Please confirm.
