There should be some sort of "loading screen" while waiting for the mapserver #54

I had an issue when a lost connection in the subway simply didn't show any map.

And there should be a timeout check on the server (maybe a good idea for the the other server based replies, like loc.php, getcollection.php etc).

We need to investigate if we can determine if an image has loaded already or not.
