The PMLC process requires sponsors to identify "source(s) of funds".
When going to DGPOC or MPIB, those sources may be different TB Submissions or Program-related funding.
But for IITB.... what are they? e.g. would Technical Debt Remediation be one of them (since it is backed up by its own TB submission)? What about when we engage existing teams that are already funded so it's basically A-Base?
Would sources of funds for Lite Projects/BI typically be either:
TDRI (tech debt TB submission)
IITB Project Capacity Envelop (the part of A-Base that IITB has just for temporary projects)
RUN (ongoing operational funding, such as what funds the IT Strategy team. But would also typically fund other operational teams like IT Sec, Architecture)
So... say we wanted to formalize an experiment with R&P team. If we do this as a Lite Project we'd need to "identify the source of funds", but if it's just existing salaries (i.e. R&P team staff, IT Strategy staff, and perhaps another team somewhere), the source of funds would be "RUN" and the idea of a Lite Project is to solidify engagements for a period of time only, reassuring management that we won't be investigating for months on end?
