Skills you have obtained: Although I started CSP with no coding knowledge and no clue how to approach problems, I'm glad to say that I have learned that trying and asking can help me grow and develop as a coder. Even though I'm not the best student, I still try on every assignment and do my best to learn the content taught in class. I may not ask Mr. Mort a lot of questions, but I have learned that I can also ask my peers questions, and that they won't necessarily judge me for asking because they are also learning the content and can understand that some people are slower learners than others.

Highs and lows from the year: I have had many struggles in this class. I did not expect this class to start with installing Anaconda and VSCode, and thought that we were going to use Scratch to code. I was so stressed in the beginning because there was a lot of code and it was overwhelming because I had no experience with Powershell or Terminal. I was glad to have a supportive group and teacher that helped me finish installing everything. Throughout the trimester, I played catch-up and was able to end the trimester with a B. Similar thing happened with 2nd Tri and 3rd Tri. I think that pull through with most situations but still struggle with starting off strong.

Future plans with computer science: I took this course thinking that I may use some knowledge on computer science in my career. I'm not sure though. I'm still exploring different options for majors and careers.

Future plans in Education/Career: I think that for education, I plan to attend college, and most likely get my masters. I'm not sure what I want to do with my career or major. I'm still thinking about either being in the STEM field or maybe even business. I don't have a definitive path that I want to go to right now because I want to explore all options before I finalize my decision.

What I learned: I learned the importance of staying calm when encountering a problem. A lot of the time when I encounter an error, I get frustrated because I don't understand the error it is giving me, or when the code doesn't make sense to me. I have made sure that I don't get frustrated by these errors and remind myself that I can fix this error with the help of others or the internet.
