Updating data in modal doesn't save to application #133

If you update the date or add notes/cover letter to the application (in the modal window), it's no longer saving the entered data when you click "Update application."

Oh. Right. I don't know what was up before. Maybe it feels a bit weird that it just says "applied" without a date, and you can't click on it to see the submitted information... but this might be me over-thinking it a bit.
