We replaced the external image viewer with a custom one in IGAPP-99.

A few open points are still left to do:

Avoid jumps of the image when dragging it around
Increase the container size of the image view to the full width. Right now the container only spans the size of the image itself.

Current implementation works fine for our use cases.
