Refresh Status blocks UI #47

When the user clicks on "refresh status" the actual refresh appears to be 
happening in the UI 
thread. This should be spawned to asperate non-blocking thread. At least on the 
Mac I get a 
beachball while the server is being updated.

btw, really great plugin, thanks for your efforts on it!
