There seems to be a branch on EG.5.1 with the 2-nuc mutation S:19:T->I->L, though it doesn't seem to have very large advantage. (+2% with EG.5.1 and +4% with EG.5.1 without L455F)

being already a branch with not a lot of chances to be competitive on its own but for sure relevant i think you may transfer this to the main repo tagging Cornelius, dunno if he will choose to describe better the tree or instead preferring to let things settling down during this switch to new dominant lineages
