iPhone doesnt seem to be recognized (PhantomPhone) #144

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. With a phone succesfully pre-1.1.1 flashed, activated, jailbraked,
ssh/scp/sftp, AnySIM 1.1 and Installer.app I found that the YouTube didn't
make it. I had the "Cannot connect to YouTube" error. So I read the whole
Issue post 34 and follow the recomended fix.
2. I ssh'ed my phone with "fugu 1.2.0" succesfully conected and place the 3
file payload "YouTube_fix.zip"(obviusly uncompressed) to the
"/private/var/root/Library/Lockdown/" directory.
3. Then I restarted the phone as the README file said.. And BOOM... The
Activation Screen was back...
4. I was so afkign scared =.( And the first thing I did was to ping my
phone to find out if the ssh was messed... but it was answering... =)
5. I connected once again with fugu to the same directory... Replaced the
"YouTube_fix.zip" files with the backup i made before overwirite.
6. I restarted the phone once again.
7. And did work..... BUT... =(
8. Now iNdependence 1.2.4 dont see it (Status: Disconnected: waiting for
iPhone), and also iTunes 1.4.2 (4) can't see it either.
9.The phone status is: all Phone funtions working, wifi working (ssh,
safari, iTunes, etc), and YouTube DEATH...

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
To get a recognized iPhone by the computer, not a ssh Phantom only.
And a YouTube running... lol (Now I dont even care about YouTube I just
want to sync Music, Pics, etc).

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
iPhone pre-1.1.1 BB 04.01.13_G nonAT&T SIM (OTB 1.1.1 >1.0.2 >pre-1.1.1)
Mac OS X 10.4.10

Please provide any additional information below.

OK. heres the million dollar question. I have a (OTB 1.1.1>1.0.2>updated
1.1.1>AnySIM
1.1) Can I restore the phone with the whole process (updated 1.1.1>1.0.2>updated
1.1.1) once again?

hey, don't be so scared. You can _always_ recover (unless you've messed up
stuff in the seczone area of
memory -- but don't worry about that).

To restore from iTunes:

Press and hold the Home + Sleep buttons from 25 seconds (until you see an
iTunes logo with a connector),
run ITunes, and restore.

Voila, you're back at a virgin 1.1.1 installation again. Now do the downgrade
to 1.0.2, then special 1.1.1
upgrade, reactivate, and you're good again.

And trust me, I'm working on a version of iNdependence which will
FactoryActivate and enable YouTube
perfectly for all firmware versions. It should also kill all the SSH problems
people are having. Should be out in
a couple of days. Stay tuned...

Thanks a lot. It worked. I restored back to 1.1.1 > 1.0.2 > pre-1.1.1 > 1.1.1
without
re-running AnySIM 1.1 ... And NOW I have a Youtube, Phone, ipod and more, more
to try
and all the stuff working... SWEET...
