The recent changes in the MessageVariable.jsx
file within the app/spiffworkflow/messages/propertiesPanel/elementLevelProvider
directory involve refactoring the getMessageVariableObject
function. This refactor introduces conditional handling for extensionElements
, ensuring they are processed only if they exist and contain a values
property. Additionally, a new block has been added to manage cases where messageVariable
is present at the message level.

@theaubmov is this to fix https://github.com/sartography/spiff-arena/issues/1626#issuecomment-2159885237? Testing in frontend it did seem to fix that issue.
The variable name is still missing from the old models
