Use full screen #17

On my G1, nethack does not take up the full screen, even in landscape mode.
Could this be changed to use the whole screen instead?

Sorry I keep filing bug reports. I love nethack-android.

I was about to open an issue to the effect that, when fullscreen mode is
enabled, the
top status bar does disappear, but the nethack "text display area" does not
expand to
fill the extra space, and instead only shifts upwards. Thus, there is no actual
utility to the current full screen mode yet.

Is that the same issue you are describing?

It makes some sense, I just haven't quite known what to use the extra space for.
Using it for more message lines is probably the best I can think of, or perhaps
shortcut buttons for the most common actions for people without a physical
keyboard,
if they want to play in landscape mode. Anyway, will try to make some
improvements
there, I'm already working on separating the message/status areas from the map
mostly
to make the game more playable in portrait mode with a virtual keyboard. I'll
try to
make any changes optional so people can find a setup that they like.

This should generally be greatly improved in the new version 1.2.1, which has a
2 line message bar, and the message and status bars docked to the edges of the
screen. Menus and text views are displayed fullscreen (not over the map view),
with word wrapping. There is also a text size option.
