Approval document #14

Open sashahafner opened 4 years ago

The current approach is to have a single approval document:

https://github.com/sashahafner/BMP-methods/blob/master/approval.csv

It is just a csv file, but will look like this on GitHub:

As we add to it, we can sort by document number to make it easier to view. There will be a link on the Standard BMP Methods/methods page to this view.

@core what do you think? Any concerns or other ideas?

Hi Sasha, I am not very experienced in GitHub so I trust you here.

We are using GitHub in an unconventional way :). I guess one question to think about is this: is it good enough if website users can just view this combined list on GitHub like this? Or do we need something fancier or more user-friendly?

I am not sure how interactive the BMP web site should be. It should certainly be user-friendly.

I guess the Standard BMP Methods site It isn't meant to be very interactive. Users will be directed to this GitHub repo only to see or download documents. I think it will only be the core group who will do work here. But others can send bug reports or suggestions through the "contact us" forms on the website and we can then consider the changes.

If contributors are familiar with GitHub and want to propose changes using it, that is fine. But it is probably best not to encourage that.

My current thinking, anyway. . .

Being someone who is not really used to GitHub yet, I agree to proceed as promised

sashahafner commented 4 years ago

Now we are all on this list. No need to keep this issue open I guess.

sashahafner commented 4 years ago

I still need to add doc 100 authors to this list.

Added today but still need affiliations.
