Although our goal has always been to be as compatible with the existing ID Portal as possible, the Bookmarks functionality seems so inconsistent with other portlet processing, specifically Collections, that we are going to deviate from that direction. Instead, Bookmarks should work like Collections:

This will then limit the change needed in genPortalMain, which will make this more maintainable.
