That was hard. I sent you two options per e-mail(googlecode-adress). I hope it's
enough and helps

got no mail yet :(
but testing so far ends at a huge problem:
when smsdroid is launched from the "new mms" broadcast the original mms receiver
(which should put the message in the database) is killed due to lack of memory
and
the message is lost.
i think this is a huge problem which i reported to the android project:

i just rebooted my phone. now it works..
but missing messages is critical :/

launched in
the same moment..

I got the MMS without notification and sender-name. In conversation list I have
three points as sender and in the thread is written "false" as sender. Then the
text: "Die Nachricht scheint eine MMS zu sein..." (I think you know the rest,
because is from you ;) ). From there I can open it with standard-sms-app by
click.
There I can see the message. Except for (or of???) the notification and the
sender-
name it works, I would say.
tested with smsdroid v0.0.9

well. the current version is v0.0.10 ;)
v0.0.9 does not know anything about receiving mms.

OK, now my head is sorted. The "current version" from Comment 7 I didn't find
in
market. Thatswhy I tested with 0.0.9. Now I updated with the apk from your
project
page.
Now I get a notification. Works!
In conversation list I have the three points anymore. But in thread is the
right
sender written. And I can open the message with standard-app from your
thread-view.
But another problem: with 0.0.10 I have no synchronisation with my contacts. In
conversation list I see no names and no contact-photos. Only the number is
shown...
Shall I open a new Issue?
Did you get my mail today? If not, here the two options I found: gmx topmail
(30
days for free, 25 MMS per month, and www.sms-kostenlos.de: 2 MMS for
announcement
and 6 if you invite me)
