Please try running the program as root, that should work

I don't know what's happening but I wrote it as root on terminal. Result:

root@fedget:/home/fatih# dpkg -i Fern-Wifi-Cracker_1.6_all.deb
(Reading database ... 165186 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to replace fern-wifi-cracker 1.6 (using
Fern-Wifi-Cracker_1.6_all.deb) ...
Unpacking replacement fern-wifi-cracker ...
Setting up fern-wifi-cracker (1.6) ...
Processing triggers for desktop-file-utils ...
Processing triggers for bamfdaemon ...
Rebuilding /usr/share/applications/bamf.index...
Processing triggers for gnome-menus ...

Nothing happenes and works by writing to terminal as root.

hello, I have the same issue here with ubuntu 13.04
At first I installed all dependencies, no problem
Then I tried to install latest ferm 1.6 with dpkg no problem, but no way to
launch it after the install process (install process did not give me any error
msg)
Then tried the double click install solution ...
Same issue : I have icon , it is in menu, it is in /usr/share/applications,
but when clicked nothing happens

sqlite3.OperationalError: Could not decode to UTF-8 column 'access_point' with
text 'Braydon..s iPhone'

Braydon..s iPhone being the last thing I tested this on.
How do I fix it? I have already tried chmod and reinstalling it
I am on Kali

Go to the key-database directory in the Fern installation path and delete
database.db

under ubuntu 12.04 LTS
Fern-Wifi-Cracker is located at /opt/Fern-Wifi-Cracker

this would work
~$sudo -s
~$cd /opt/Fern-Wifi-Cracker
~$python execute.py

This would run the program.
Once it runs u can update it further.

instead of deleting the database.db you could open it with a sqlite3 manager
and change the APN name to some normal text . Just for the sake of running it .
