Would really like this on Firefox as well - Chrome eats up too much RAM lol

Me too! Hopefully, they'll approve it soon.
This will be the link once it's approved: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/minecraft-weather-new-tab/
@jinsung-kim There's already an issue for Firefox (and it's been closed -now reopened - because @khalby786 ported this extension to firefox, and @sawyerpollard published it). This issue is about Opera GX

To make things clear, @sawyerpollard was already working on a Firefox version, it has nothing to do with the Firefox version I made!

I appreciate your work to port it to Firefox too! I'm also working on putting it on the Edge store.
oh wow! Hard at work, I see. well, good luck!
The extension can be installed without a problem on Opera GX. The thing is, it just doesn't work. I think the problem might stem from how they handle the new tab pages. There are sooo many options for it that although it originates from Chromium, it doesn't resemble it one bit. Thing is, there's virtually no info about this predicament on the web because (I guess) it rarely happens.
According to this reddit post, this is an intended behavior of Opera/OperaGX. they even suggest a workaround
Based on @GreatSymphonia's response, it seems that there is not an easy way to currently port the extension to Opera/Opera GX. I will look into the mentioned workaround, but it seems that this may be too complicated for the average user. Of course, I implore you to try out the workaround yourself. If I discover new options, I'll be happy to reopen this issue!
