Hmm weird, I can't reproduce. What version of python are you running?

This is what I get:

$ python3 -m venv .venv
$ ./.venv/bin/pip install mongo-types
Collecting mongo-types
  Downloading https://files.pythonhosted.org/packages/85/db/bb06eb4d979ad02820c1ec96975f0d823daa6e93b7a521463c0fd2b9f2b6/mongo_types-0.15.1-py3-none-any.whl
Installing collected packages: mongo-types
Successfully installed mongo-types-0.15.1
You are using pip version 19.0.3, however version 21.3.1 is available.
You should consider upgrading via the 'pip install --upgrade pip' command.

$ ./.venv/bin/python --version
Python 3.7.3
