in both content & layout create series directory make a series-specific single layout template to bring in the books associated with a given series (first, make sure a book includes a front-matter reference to its series and a series identifies its child books -- have to think about how to do this) make the corresponding content setup to deliver what the series layout needs create an archetype to generate new serieses

Basically done. I'm going to open a new issue to make an archetype for this.
