4 years ago Looks like implementing such telemetry is complicated and fraught with privacy issues. Let's close this issue and find another method to get people's feedback.
Perhaps a link to a survey near the top-ish of release notes from now on would work?
Adding telemetry to Pepperminty Wiki would enable us to learn about things like the version on Pepperminty Wiki installed, the size of the wiki, and how long searches take.
It's of paramount important that if we do decide to do this, it's done thoughtfully.
We should begin by asking people what they think of existing telemetry systems. This will help us decide.
Perhaps r/selfhosted on reddit would be a good place to ask initially?
