While Gold/Silver/Copper is a common currency system, it is not particularly interesting. It's really just one currency system, with fancy comma-separation. Another multiple-currency system in use is Gold/Lumber/Oil from Warcraft II, where different resources are functionally different, and relative values are difficult to pin down.
I also recommend marking this as something like "food for thought" or "idea" or "discussion" or something rather than as a milestone.
So noted; Discussion it is. Also, an excellent example of a multi-currency system. As for gold/silver/copper, consider Castle of the Winds, where money weighed you down, and didn't automatically convert to larger denominations. I'm not pushing a p/g/s/c system, just recognising it for the discussion.
A monetary system will be important for trade within game, and forms an important means of limiting item purchases. There are numerous questions remaining to be answered. Will money be implemented as a field of its own, or perhaps as an item in the inventory? Will money perhaps be more complicated than normal - perhaps involving multiple currencies eg. gold, silver&copper.
